A)For the interviewer to be aware of this and to structure the opening of the interview to relax the client.
B)For the interviewer not to show that he/she is tense, or client trust will be compromised.
C)To talk about the tension at sufficient length until it has dissipated for both; then the “interview proper” can begin.
D)For the interviewer to talk slowly and take deep breaths in order to calm him/herself.
